Football mad postcodes + Euros = Covid

England, Wales and Scotland all appearing in the finals of the Euros this Summer, and many of the games including the semi finals and final being held at Wembley, excitement across the UK just grew and grew. Particularly for England who came so close to "bringing football home!"

But the tournament took place against the backdrop of a surge in Covid infections from the Delta variant and there has been a lot of speculation about the impact of the Euros football tournament on Covid infection rates across the UK. So we thought it would be a good idea to see whether More Metrics data can provide any insight on this topic. It makes for interesting reading!
